Additional Information The Coalport porcelain factory was founded in 1795 by John Rose. Coalport, Shropshire was a popular location for potteries as it was the former home of both Thomas Turner and Caughley in the 18th Century. John Rose’s Coalport evolved in the 19th century to be one of finest factories of the Regency period, taking it’s place with Derby and Worcester.
