Jane Strasser Washburn was a Cincinnati native and attended the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP). She followed a varied career path after graduation including work in advertising, as Media Director for GAP Stores, partner in Zoe Street Pictures film and video company, starting her own film and video company, The Washburn Co., and owning Vermont Originals a wool hat business for the Vermont ski industry. She returned to Cincinnati in 2012, to pursue her passion, painting. She was a member of a number of local art groups, including “The Barn” in Mariemont, Sunday Morning Outdoor Painters (SMOP), and the Cincinnati Art Club.
