The interior front flap features three paragraphs about the book, the price of $3.50 to the top edge, the printed codes ‘40-80’ and ‘1163’ to the bottom left and the clipped right corner as published. The title page states the Library of Congress number 63-21253. The back interior flap has three paragraphs about Maurcie Sendak with no mention of the Caldecott Award. This volume is housed in a custom clamshell box with gilt lettering.
