An antique J. Hoover chromolithograph is a moonlit scene in an interesting octagonal frame. J. Hoover and Sons mass produced artworks in the late 19th and early 20th century based out of Philadelphia. They were award winning chromolithograph printers that were one of the biggest publishers in the country. This print illustrates a moonlit river and country mountain scene in a glass plated and green/gold wash painted wood octagonal frame. The reverse side is marked ‘Copyright J. Hoover 1894’.
Condition
There are some scratches/scuffs on the frames. There is a little water damage, but not easily visible. The print appears to be in very good condition.
