An 1861 T-36 obsolete $5 banknote from the Confederate States of America. The note features commerce on the front with a sailor in the lower left corner and was issued on September 2nd, 1861 in Richmond, VA . The note is hand signed and numbered. The note measures 7 1/8′ × 3′. The note is circulated with some wear and creases.
