Robert Summers is best known for his western compositions and mainly recognized for his cattle ranching scenes. After dabbling in various professional fields, he decided to pursue his artistic career in his early 20’s. In doing so, he took art classes by correspondence and worked as a commercial illustrator. By the late 1960s, Summers had already achieved local recognition for his distinctive western illustrations for which he is recognized today.
