Arthur D. Fuller was born in Exeter, New Hampshire and he is best known for his wildlife and sporting illustrations. Fuller began his formal artistic training at Harvard University. Upon graduating, he further pursued his artistic career and moved to Boston, refining his technique while continuing his education at the the Fenway School of Illustration. Subsequently, he went on to study at Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and in doing so established his distinctive illustration style for which he became recognized. His oeuvre was published in various magazines including Greenbook, the Saturday Evening Post, Redbook, Colliers, The American Legion, the Ladies Home Journal, McCalls, and Cosmopolitan, among others. Throughout his career, Fuller became an active member of multiple organizations featuring the Animal Artists Society, the Westport Artists, the Salmagundi Club, and the Society of Illustrators, New York.
