Additional Information Bunning and Chandler were Kentucky politicians as well as employees of Major League baseball. Jim Bunning pitched from 1955-1971 for the Phillies, Tigers, Pirates, and Dodgers. A.B. Chandler was the second commissioner of baseball (the first being Kenesaw Mountain Landis) from 1945-1951 (Chandler permitted the admission of African-American players into Major League baseball). Jim signed an American League baseball and A.B. signed a National League baseball; both signatures are on the sweet spot.
