John Clymer is known for his impressionist style landscapes and for his detailed studies of the master Impressionists’ works. Born in Bristol, England he studied at the Royal Art Academy. His work is held in numerous private collections, though he has sometimes been confused with American illustrator and western painter John Ford Clymer.

- chip to the lower right of the frame; dust, nicks, and abrasions to the frame, notably to the corners.
