Ancient Byzantine gold Semissis of Justinian I, ca. 530 A.D. Constantinople mint. Obverse: DN IVSTINI-ANVS PP AVG, pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust right. Reverse: VICTORI-AAVCCC, Victory seated right, inscribing numerals on shield set on knee, star to left, reversed chi-rho to right; mintmark CONOB. Metal Content: gold. Diameter: 17.5 mm. Coin is circulated.
