Byzantine gold Hyperpyron of John III, ca. 1250. Obverse: IC-XC across upper fields, Christ, nimbate, seated facing on backless throne, holding book of Gospels and raising right hand. Reverse: John standing facing on the left, holding labarum and akakia, wearing loros being crowned by Mary on the right. Metal Content: gold. Diameter: 23 mm. Coin is circulated.
