Additional Information The banner was printed on fabric and mounted on a thin sheet of cardboard. It depicts two women from the 1920s/30s in white tennis attire, playing tennis. The banner reads, “Leg Liberty makes for Better Sports told by Helen Wills in the April Ladies Home Journal”. The art was originally done by William Tefft Schwarz, the banner was printed by the “Sweeney Litho. Co., located in Belleville, N.J.” The four grommets are present, one at each corner.

- soiling, paper backing has tears; fabric has holes and tears along the edge and borders
