Signed “BC MCD” in mold to the underside of sculpture
Marked with a crossed “X” to the underside
Barrie C. McDowell was a self-employed artist and a World War II veteran. He was part of the 1964 Annual Exhibition of Contemporary American Sculpture at the Whitney Art Museum and had a solo exhibition at the Pace Gallery in New York in 1963.
