- overall with various scratches, marks, nicks/chips, shrinkage cracks, and abrasions consistent with age and use; exterior retains faint remnants of orange-red and yellow paint (most notably on the iron handles); molding along lower edge of lid with some larger chips; right side panel (just below lid) with some gouges; interior with some stains; no key; bracket base with some later glue blocks; other possible imperfections, wear, and repairs/restorations.
