A three antique 22K gold porcelain luncheon plates are a stunning dining set. The The octagonal English white porcelain has a thick 22K gold edge with an incised scrollwork detail. The plate bases also have a thin gold rim. The plates are stamped ‘Cauldon Ltd. England Est. 1774, Brown-Westhead Moore & Co.’. Cauldon was well-known for high-end porcelain production and this makers mark dates the three plates to pre-1904 since the company named changed to Cauldon Ltd. only in 1904. The plates are also marked by the importer ‘Ovington Bros. 5th Avenue, New York’. Items’ 14CIN048-095 – 99 are the same plate pattern and maker , but vary in the number of plates.
Condition
Subtle amounts of the gold have worn away on the front surface and on the base trim.
