Based in Ohio, Mark Eberhard is especially known for his paintings of birds rendered with vibrant colors and meticulous detail. He studied graphic design at the University of Cincinnati and fine arts at Yale University. After establishing a design business with his wife Alice, he was able to pursue painting more seriously and first began showing his work in 1996. Since then, Eberhard has received numerous national and regional awards for his art and has regularly exhibited in the Birds in Art show at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau, Wisconsin. A member of the Society of Animal Artists, he currently lives and works near Cincinnati, and paints animals species found in the Ohio Valley. In addition to the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, his work can be found in numerous private and public collections, including the National Museum of Wildlife Art.
