- overall with various scratches, marks, nicks/chips, cracks, and abrasions consistent with age and use; scattered finish wear/losses and stains; some loose joints and variable wobbliness to frames; larger chair with a small loss where right stile meets crest; same chair with a shrinkage crack running through the center of the seat, which has been reinforced on the underside with two later wooden strips; smaller chair with a repair to proper left stretcher while the opposing stretcher has a flat underside (possible loss); other possible imperfections, wear, and repairs/restorations.
