Peruvian-born artist Mario Agostinelli is known for his brutalistic sculptures and modernist figural paintings, often rendered with loose expressionistic brushstrokes and patches of vibrant colors. His work has been exhibited and collected by numerous institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, Rio de Janeiro; the Springfield Museum of Art in Massachusetts; and the Beilin Gallery in New York, among others.
