Frimodt was best known for her floral studies, but was also prolific in her depictions of Danish landscapes, architecture, and interiors. She studied under Anthonore Christensen, C.M. Soya-Jensen and Charlotte Sode. She was commissioned to create decorative works for Copenhagen City Hall under the direction of fellow painter Jens Jensen, and has exhibited widely throughout Denmark.
