Reginald Grooms was a painter, watercolorist, lithographer and teacher. His students include many prominent and listed Cincinnati artists. The son of a wood engraver, Grooms took up watercolors and oils as a childhood hobby. He received a minuscule amount of formal art training in his school days. Later, he would later study at the Cincinnati Art Academy for 5 years and the Academie Julian in Paris for 2 years. Grooms has had numerous solo exhibitions throughout his life. His works have been exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Cincinnati Art Club, the University of Cincinnati, and more.

- wear to edges of frame; dust and accretions present to glass and frame; debris present under glass; slight smudging to image due to excess pigment; slight billow to paper.
