Raised in Ohio, Lucian Lupinski is best known for his portraits and landscapes. He studied at Ohio State University, the Grand Central School of Art, the Art Students League in New York, and the American Academy of Art in Chicago. In 1973, he became an artist-in-residence for The Saturday Evening Post and continued illustrating for 20 years. His murals can be found in the Toledo Cathedral, the Museum of Art and Industry in Chicago, and religious buildings across the eastern United States.

- repaired hole to canvas at upper center of painting; minor scuffing, discoloration, and craquelure to paint; flaking and wear to paint and canvas along sides of painting where canvas meets stretcher, including tears to canvas along the left side.
