Valtinen is a self-taught artist originally from Connecticut. He describes his mixed media sculptures and assemblages as having “gothic sensibilities” thematically conveying “the discomfort of true self-awareness and self-knowledge”. Valtinen has received numerous awards and was a traveling artist with the 2018 Oddities & Curiosities Expo. His work will be on display at Skulls & Skeletons and the Boneyard Market at Lakeland Community College in October, 2019. Valtinen is affiliated with The Sanctuary Reiki Studio and Art Gallery in Zanesville, Ohio under the name Grave Glamour.
