Ronnie Cutrone is a Pop artist known for his works featuring well-known cartoon figures such as Felix the Cat, the Pink Panther, and Woody Woodpecker. He is quoted as saying “Everything is a cartoon for me,” and, “The ancient manuscripts are taken very seriously but they really are cartoons.” He worked from 1972 – 1980 as Andy Warhol’s assistant at “The Factory”, but eventually left to focus on his own career. His work has been exhibited and is in the collection of galleries and museums worldwide including the Whitney Museum, New York, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.
