American Walnut and Pine Stepback Cupboard, Mid-19th Century
Item Details
The two-part case features an upper section with a flared cornice above a pair of glazed, six-light doors before a cream-painted, three-shelf interior. The lower section has a rectangular top slightly overhanging two aligned, hand-dovetailed drawers and a pair of sunken-paneled, blind doors. The doors open to a two-shelf interior and the whole piece rises on cutout sides.

Condition
- overall with various scratches, marks, nicks/small chips, and abrasions consistent with age and use; scattered finish wear/losses and crazing; top-most glass panel of each door appears to be a later replacement; top of lower section has been built up along the back edge (has a resulting light gap); interior drawer bottoms are lined with later contact paper; other possible imperfections, wear, and repairs/restorations.
