1889 First Edition "A Yankee in King Arthur's Court" by Mark Twain

A first edition A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court by Mark Twain. This edition has the word ‘Connecticut’ eliminated from the front cover, the endpapers are floral, an ‘S’ ornamentation between the words ‘The’ and ‘King’ on page 59, no type damage is noted on page 72 and broken type is noted on pages 340-341. The book is bound in the original green cloth with gilt lettering and a design to the front cover. Black and white illustrations are throughout the text with several being full page.

Condition

- wear to the cover with spilt gutters, rubbed edges, bumped corners, fraying and soiling; cracked hinges; missing endpapers, cocked spine; fading; foxing.
