English Traditional Congreve Model Rolling Ball Clock with Key and Case

An English industrial or mechanical style gear powered brass constructed Congreve model clock displaying three faces. Housed in a glass protective case, this piece is unmarked and comes with a brass key and a lead ball. Popular among clock collectors, this type of rolling ball model was invented by Englishman Sir William Congreve and presented to the Prince of Wales in 1808 which still can be viewed today at Buckingham Palace.
