Early Pete Rose Action Pictures

Item Details

A total of four framed pictures showing Pete Rose in the early years of his career, 1960s in action. One has him sliding into home, the catcher was Joe Torre who was playing for the Milwaukee Braves. Of course, Pete was safe. One black and white picture is a split into two frames; one frame has Pete jumping out of the way at second as the opponent slides, the other frame has Pete, at second, jumping and throwing to first as a player tries to break up a double play. Another black and white picture shows Pete literally flying in the air, arms and legs out stretched, trying to avoid an opponent sliding into second. This took place in the mid-1960s. The last picture, also black and white, has Pete completing a double play. By the looks of the uniform, this might have been his rookie year, 1963.
