An earthenware vase created by Kataro Shirayamadani. This hand-painted vase presents delicately floral specimens of irises accented in the background color of blue. The Rookwood Pottery mark is presented on the underside with the date pf 1946. Kataro Shirayamadani, also known as Kitaro Shirayamadani was a Japanese ceramics painter who worked for Rookwood Pottery from 1887 until 1948.
