Born in 1934 in New York City, Joan Wobst is a sculptor and longtime resident of Columbus, Ohio. She attended Randolph-Macon Women’s College, and has also studied at the University of Virginia and the Ohio State University. Wobst’s work belongs to public and private collections across the country, and her most famous sculpture, the Umbrella Girl Fountain, resides in Schiller Park’s Grace Highfield Memorial Garden in German Village.
