Colonial-Revival Oak Tall-Case Clock Attributed to Gustav Becker, Early 20th C
Item Details
A large Colonial-Revival tall case or grandfather clock in carved oak, having an arched, dentil-molded cornice and foliate carved frieze, above a gilt metal face with black Arabic numerals. The hood is supported on reeded columns, above a molded base with a stylized, egret carved panel. An engraved metal medallion reads ‘Gesetzlich Geschützt and Tonverstärker (protected by law / sound amplification or sound amplifier)’.
