A group of books that includes two copies of Thornton Jenkins’ revision of ‘Collar and Daniell’s First Year Latin.’ There is a New York Edition was published in 1918 by Ginn and Company and also an edition published in 1946. Another textbook is ‘First Year Latin’by Smith and Thompson, published 1950 by Allyn and Bacon. There is a Latin text describing the history of the First Crusade, ‘Anonymi Gesta Francorum et Aliorum Hierosolymitanorum’ published Oxford University Press 1924 (this is an old university library book). Other works include ‘Caesar in Gaul’ which includes notes and exercises (this has been extensively marked in pen and ink), a Modern Library edition of ‘The Greek Poets,’ and a 1914 edition of ’Plutarch’s Lives’ published by Hearst’s International Library Co., Inc. (in very poor condition with bindings that are torn apart; there may be sections missing).
Condition
Textbooks have been written in, and the Plutarch work is in very poor shape.
