Item Details
A varied lot of scholarly works on the subject of European and American history and social history. A representative volume is Oswald Spengler’s ‘The Decline of the West’ (single-volume edition, published 1932, Alfred A. Knopf, New York, translated from the German to English by Charles Francis Atkinson, 507 pages plus index). Also includes a two-volume set (in case) entitled ‘Illustrated English Social History’ by G. M. Trevelyan. Volumes One and Two are combined in one book, and Volumes Three and Four are combined in a second book (published by Longmans, Green and Co., Fifth Impression 1952).
