A color lithograph on Arches paper by well-listed artist Andre Lanskoy (France / Russian Federation, 1902-1976). Lanskoy fled the Russian Federation in 1919 and eventually arrived in Paris in 1921 where he remained until his death. Once in Paris, he studied at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière. At this time Lanskoy created mostly representational figurative works and still lives. In the late 1930s to early 1940s his work shifted to abstraction and he became a notable artist of the Lyrical abstraction movement.
