A cast bronze sculpture of a steeplechase horse racer by well-known American artist Metz Castleberry (1929 – 2017). Metz Castleberry is best known for his western and Native American themed sculptures which present a strong interpretation movement and energy. Castleberry studied at the University of Tulsa and at Eastern New Mexico University. He is represented in numerous private collections and in the public collections of the King Ranch, Governor John Connally, and the estate of President Lyndon Johnson.
