Empire Style Mahogany Chest of Drawers, Early to Mid 19th-Century

An antique Empire chest of drawers presented in mahogany. This storage unit displays three smaller upper drawers with wood knobs, and five larger drawers to the body with brass ring pulls. Dating to the late 19th-Century, this chest of drawers rests on metal casters for easier mobility with no maker’s name or mark.

Condition

- moderate scuffs/scratches noted
- some finish discoloration including a water ring to the top surface;
- numerous age cracks to the wood.

- carving initials or numbers to the back as seen in image 12 with a newer nail observed
