A Neil Armstrong autographed official NASA promotional print titled Apolo 11 Earthrise. Neil signed this print in black ink with a fiber-tip marker. The signature has been professionally authenticated by James Spence Authenticators with a full letter enclosed.
A native of Wapakoneta, Ohio, Neil Armstrong’s first step onto the lunar surface was broadcast live to a worldwide TV audience. Armstrong described the event as ‘one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind’ on July 18, 1969. Apollo 11 effectively ended the Space Race and fulfilled a national goal proposed in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy, stating that ‘before this decade is out, the United States Space program will land a man on the Moon and return him safely home.’ This piece is housed in a protective plastic sleeve. On July 18, 2019, the world will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of America’s landing on the moon.
