Lenore Asbury Art Deco Rookwood Pottery Vase , 1923
Item Details
A Rookwood pottery bud vase decorated by Lenore Asbury, who decorated for Rookwood pottery between 1894 and 1931, a graduate of the cincinnati Art Academy. The vase features a matted glaze in various tones of blues and greens depicting flowers. Signed to the base, dated with Roman numerals ‘XXIII’, and numbered 357F.
Lenore Asbury was a Cincinnati native who worked primarily in Rookwood’s Standard and Vellum glazes.
