An English hammered Queen Elizabeth I AR Shilling, ca. 1582, Tower Mint. Fifth Issue. Obverse: bell mintmark, ELIZAB D G ANG FR ET HIB REGI, crowned bust of Elizabeth facing left. Reverse: bell mintmark, POSVI DEV ADIVTOREM MEV, long cross over coat of arms. Metal Content: silver. Diameter: 31.2 mm. Weight: 5.8 grams. Coin is circulated, bust is very worn, but the inscriptions are well-struck. Reference Spink 2577.
