Cher Shaffer is a self-taught artist with Cherokee heritage from both sides of her family. Raised on a small farm in Georgia, her rural upbringing had a profound impact on her work. Her trademark style often features vibrant colors, fluid abstract forms, and bold gestural brushstrokes, reminiscent of modern artist such as Picasso, Modigliani, and Chagall. Shaffer’s work has been exhibited and collected by several institutions including the Cincinnati Art Museum and the Kentucky Folk Art Center. Some of her notable collectors include Oprah Winfrey, Jane Fonda, Henry Winkler, Rob Rheiner, Danny Carey, Lou Diamond Philips, and other public figures.
