A Dr. David Livingstone 1866 autograph document page from a personal journal or manuscript. David Livingstone was a Scottish physician and pioneer of Christian missionary with the London Missionary Society. Famous for his exploration of the Continent of Africa, Dr. David Livinstone was one of the most popular British heroes of the late 19th-century. This historic autograph presents the full name ‘David Livingstone’ in black ink with the date of February 1866. Contained on a blue toned two-sided 19th-Century paper, this written notation or document displays soiling, discoloration, and residue from age and usage. This signature has received a ‘visual pass’ from a third party authenticator. Dr. Livingstone’s meeting with Henry Morton Stanley on November 10, 1871, gave rise to the popular quotation ‘Dr. Livingstone, I presume.’ This signed document is housed in a protective holder.
