Additional Information Includes three diaries (two from 1863, one from 1865) and one is attributed to Dayton B. Morgan of Camden, Ohio; a leather pocket wallet with note “Pocket wallet carried through the war in prison on Belle-Isle. Mosby’s men cleaned it and returned it to me. D.J. Martin”, several G.A.R. and Sons of Civil War pins, pendants, ribbons, and medals, three Minié ball ammunitions, an empty photo album, a 1926 Baby’s Bank & Record Book, an ID tag, keys and padlock, 1926 Republican voting card, newspaper article and a Whitehead & Hoag Co. envelope.

Condition

- varying degrees of wear throughout items; diaries show wear to covers and pages are toning and faded; some stains, markings, and discoloration to fabric and medals, pocket wallet is in very fragile condition with original note inside torn.
