Additional Information The door interior has an old, partial paper note inscribed “At this time there being / considerable inquiry for / old things, I felt curi- / out to know the age / of this clock. / My aunt Mrs. Mary / Jackson Townsend being / at our house a few / days ago, I learned / from her that the clock / …chased in the / …1827.” Another hand crosses out 1827 and writes “1831”.
