A vintage handwoven raffia Kuba textile from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The long, narrow textile is constructed of black raffia panels with appliqué geometric patterns in naturally dyed ocher and embellished with cowrie shells.

Condition

- some toning to cloth; fraying to cloth; some accretions throughout.
