S. Kirk & Son and Alvin Sterling Repousse Sterling Flatware in Presentation Box
Item Details
An extensive set of sterling silver flatware in two compatible patterns; ‘Repousse’ by S. Kirk & Son and ‘Bridal Bouquet’ by Alvin Sterling. The flatware is presented in a lined mahogany campaign box with silver plated mounts and two drawers. The plaque affixed to the top hinged lid reads ‘Presented to George Schal by the Richardson Silk Co. as a token of it’s friendship and in due appreciation of his services 1894 – 1910. December 31st, 1910’.
The Richardson Silk Co. built in 1886 was located in Belding, Michigan and was listed in the US National Registry of Historical Places in 1985.
