Sidney Rafilson was a Chicago-based artist and illustrator whose oil paintings were included in the Metropolitan Museum of New York and the Art Institute of Chicago. He studied at the University of Illinois and at the American Academy in Rome on a Fulbright scholarship. He is known for his Surrealist-inspired scenes and eerie landscapes.

- wear and losses to corners of illustration board; chip to surface measuring approximately 2" at upper left corner; surface scratch to lower right corner; dust to frame; wear to frame.
