An oil painting on hardboard by well listed American artist Nancy Whorf (Massachusetts/Florida; 1930 – 2009). The painting titled North End Winter depicts a street scene in Boston during a wet, wintry day. Artist signature is visible to the lower left. This painting is mounted in a beveled wood frame with a gold tone finish.

Whorf studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School with Vollian Rann in Provincetown, and with her father, well-known watercolorist John Whorf. She is best known for her Cape Cod landscapes, as well as still life and portrait paintings.
