An acrylic painting on masonite by contemporary Kentucky artist Lori Larusso. This work is titled Boil and is from her Killing Kitchen series. The playfully bold colors and simplistic graphic shapes create a scene of a stereotypical kitchen with a cooked lobster hanging out of a stockpot.

Larusso has exhibited work in solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally. She received her MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art’s graduate interdisciplinary program, the Mount Royal School of Art and a BFA from the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.
