Condition
- overall with various scratches, marks, nicks/chips, cracks, and abrasions consistent with age and use (side panels with larger shrinkage cracks); scattered veneer cracks, chips, and repairs; bracket bases are possibly later; part of the desk interior has been painted in a later green; leather writing surface is possibly later and with gilding wear/losses; some of the drawers stick a bit and one of the interior examples was not able to be opened; one of the pedestal drawers is missing a bail handle; brass handles of same drawers are probably associated and two of them have had the interior lock plates removed and the key holes filled in; key is not included; other possible repairs/restorations.
