Born in Philadelphia, Ann Agee is an artist and designer who works in ceramics and wallpaper, among other media. She received her BFA at the Yale School of Art and her MFA at The Cooper Union School of Art. Agee’s installation of a bathroom created during her residency at the Kohler Company factory in Wisconsin was included in the 1994 Feminist-driven show Bad Girls at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York. This show, which included other artists like Carrie Mae Weems and the Guerilla Girls, drew critical acclaim to Agee’s work. As a 2011 Guggenheim fellow, she participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions around the country. Her work is also in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the RISD Museum, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.
