Religious Memorabilia

A wonderful collection of religious memorabilia many of which are from Italy including a booklet called ‘The Basilica of St. Peter in Rome’ written by Attilio and Lucio Savoia and signed by Lucio Savoia. There is no copyright date; however, the black and white photos indicate early to mid 1950’s. Other items from Italy include a figurine of the Pieta by A. Santini, a wooden grotto of the crucified Christ and a holy water font of the Blessed Mother marked 502 Italy on the reverse. Also included is a ‘Pearls of Prayer’ prayer booked marked May 6, 1934 to an inside leaf; two small photos – one of Jesus and one of Mary; a 1968 Padre Pio Da Pietrelcina postcard; an ‘Apostleship of Prayer’ pamphlet with a 1937 copyright; a ‘Remembrance of First Communion’ pocket with a ‘My First Communion’ booklet of prayers from 1934; a light blue and white vase with Mother and Child in raised relief on the front, gold bands and white flower trim, and ‘Our Lady of the Snows, Belleville, Ill.’ to the bottom; and a plastic crucifix marked to the back ‘Holy Ghost Missions, Missioniane, Washington 11, D. C,’
Condition
These items are in good shape for their age.
Dimensions
Measurements are for books and crucifix when items when stacked. The Pieta is 6.5" W x 8" H x 4" D. The vase is about the same height.
